We acquired this property through a realtor friend of ours whose family lives within the park and new we were looking to flip properties. Upon our initial walk through we saw some major holes in the floors and could see noticeable rot within the inside of the home. It had a very closed off kitchen that blocked the view to the living space, which we knew the wall needed to be removed. We started by reinforcing the floors due to buckling and gaping holes throughout. We had considered rehabbing the cabinets, but we found evidence of termites within them so decided to upgrade the entire kitchen with new cabinets and granite countertops. The pre-existing wall that we took out was replaced with a large island with cabinet storage underneath. The termite damage reached into the ceiling so we replaced the paneling with drywall and installed can lights for a well-lit cooking and dining area. The hall bathroom had its original 1970’s color scheme so we removed everything and replaced it with a more current style. The master bathroom was in good shape overall, so we painted the cabinets, replaced the vanity, toilet and new flooring. Installed all new flooring and painted throughout. The deck was deteriorating and needed to be replaced with new stairs and outdoor carpet. We wrapped it up with a small sitting patio in the back. Exterior siding was in good shape so a fresh coat of paint, new windows and removing the shutters gave it just what it needed for beautiful curb appeal.
